hello all,

I am having an issue saving my video in .avi format. When I run the following code, framecount never changes, so the script never stops. The video is 8Mb long but VLC cannot read it. If I manually change the framecount, the same problem with the video occurs. There are no error messages. On the other hand, a similar program in OpenCV that uses CV_FOURCC('I','Y','U','V') just like in the source code of SimpleCV, works. This leads me to believe that this is not a codec issue. Please help, thanks.

import time
c = Camera()
vs = VideoStream("out.avi", fps=15)

framecount = 0
while(framecount < 15 * 600): #record for 5 minutes @ 15fps
    c.getImage().save(vs)
    time.sleep(0.1)

Hrm.

I modded the code a bit, and I was getting a file of a reasonable size but I couldn't open it. This doesn't look like something I can fix quick. Can you file a ticket and I will get to it in our next dev scrum.
