Videostream SimpleCV Empty File

A simple Video recording on a Mac OSX 10.9 does not record at all.

Using the Tutorial in Simplecv RUNS, frames are shown on the display/window, the recording appears to work but the final File is ALWAYS 414 bytes long. If later converted to mp4 via ffmpeg you get EMPTY file no conversion message.

I suspect its a OSX problem, but can anybody on OSX confirm having recorded something and if possible show the code.

I tried the videowriter directly via opencv, having the same problem, so thats why I think its an OSX problem.

Suggestions or possible solutions most welcomed.

To answer myself, since I seem to be the only OSX platform....

It an OpenCV installation problem.

Must reinstall Opencv with --with-ffmpeg option.

Using brew ..... brew uninstall opencv brew install opencv --with-ffmpeg

DONE. Now it will save the file.
