How to update a simpleCV modual from Git Hub?

I would like to update my modual but I don't know how?

I see that the modual on my computer is missing functions that are included in a version seen on Git Hub.

I tried to copy and paste the modual, but that didn't seem to work? I see that there is a Blob.pyc within my computer's folder tree but is NOT found on Git Hub. I assume this might be the reason?

Sorry for such a basic question. I'm still new to Python and Git Hub.

ok... I'm not sure this is how you do it officially... but this is what worked for me... (Windows 7)

First, to be safe take the old modual you wish to update; '' and 'Blob.pyc' in my case within my folder 'C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\SimpleCV\Features'..., and make a copy as '' and 'Blobold.pyc'. This is just to be safe! if something goes wrong, you can go back...

Second, copy the code from GitHub using copy-and-paste into your text editor. The modual I wanted was '' and was found on GitHub within 'SimpleCV/Features/'.

Third, save this copy and pasted file as the new '' within your Python folder: 'C:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\SimpleCV\Features' (as on my computer)...

Fourth, open a command window and CD into your 'C:\Python27' folder.

Last!, run the following command: (found on the install instructions for Windows 7)

pip install

That seemed to work... but when I ran the function I wanted, I found that I had to repeat the above steps for yet another SimpleCV modual.

I'm new to python and GitHub, so there might be a more elegant way to update moduals?...
