Is there a way to set the Camera properties to use mjpg streams instead of yuyv? My webcam supports mjpg but I'm not sure how to set it.

@kscottz. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that only apply to cameras capable of creating its own http server, "i.e. IP cameras"? Im using a local webcam in this instance for clarification.

My understanding is that mjeg is a streaming standard that you usually use through a web browser. You simply point your browser at a host/port and read the stream that way. Usually when vendors say they support mjpeg this is what they mean.

Generally camera control properties are very vendor specific. I am pretty sure that using our camera interface we can't set a particular camera to use mjpeg. However, if you can set the camera to mjpeg mode you can use the JpegStreamCamera to read from it. I actually pushed an example of this the other day.
