Once I installed simplecv in windows I create my first example called helloworld.py in python shell. I got an error like this

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<pyshell#0>", line 1, in <module> from SimpleCV import Camera, Display, Image ImportError: No module named SimpleCV

>

My example code was :

from SimpleCV import Camera, Display,Image
# Initialize the camera
cam = Camera()
# Initialize the display
display = Display()
# Snap a picture using the camera
img = cam.getImage()
# Show the picture on the screen
img.save(display)

Pleae help me to solve this error. Im a new comer to simplecv. Thank you.

I did this steps 1 download simplecv 1.3 msi file 2 run msi file 3 Then It creates simplecv directory with numpy opencv pygame python scipy setuptool

5 I run installbatch file Then it install all above as step by step. Then I put environment variable as C:/Python27/;C:/Python27/Scripts/;C:opencv/build/x86/vc10/bin/;%PATH%;

What was my mistake ?

I had a similar issue looks like you are missing the environment variable PYTHONPATH something like the following depending on your install location

PYTHONPATH C:/OpenCV2.3/opencv/build/python/2.7/;%PYTHONPATH%

Also it looks like you are missing a "\" in your PATH enviroment variable

C:opencv/build/x86/vc10/bin/

should be

C:/opencv/build/x86/vc10/bin/
